Bad Apple Anti-Cheat Posted by MyIS James on January 23, 2008 @ 14:15 PST
The Total Gaming League and Bad Apple E-Sports Integrity Management Systems (BA ESIMS) are proud to announce the very first release of the Bad Apple Anti-Cheat client. The Bad Apple Anti-Cheat client is now mandatory for all TGL matches effective immediately. The Prodigy AC program is now officially decommissioned and will no longer be used by the TGL.

To use the program, you should first go to your "My Account" area, located on the upper left navigational panel. There, you will see a small Bad Apple section below your normal account options. In this section you will find a link to activate your Bad Apple account (http://www.badappleesims.com/activation.aspx) and your unique/private Bad Apple PIN.

Once you're on the Bad Apple web site, you simply fill in your TGL username, your unique PIN number as found on the TGL web site, and proceed to create an account. The whole process is self explanatory, but you can use the Support link on the Bad Apple web site if you encounter any issues. Please note that this added PIN/GUID/Activation step is being used to prevent the act of smurfing and ringing in TGL matches.

We're very excited to be using an AC solution with so much promise and integrity. Bad Apple is scheduled for regular updates and improvements as we continue to fight cheating at the TGL.

I am sorry if this sounds rude, but...
Do you know what a comment is? This is not the tech support section.
If you post your questions in the tech support section of the Bad Apple site your questions will be answered.

no vist 64 bit support now I am out later TGL...

January 24, 2008 @ 16:28 PST by MyIS James

It was tested for a total of two months, including on 64 bit operating systems. When beta testing goes from relatively few users to a large number of users (thousands) with different system configurations, hardware, and software, new bugs will be found.

January 24, 2008 @ 16:43 PST by chicago

yeah nice time to release..

January 24, 2008 @ 16:53 PST by MyIS James

Yea, because hosting a 301 team tournament without an AC solution is such a wonderful idea. No software release is perfect, which is why quality should be judged on how issues are fixed. The developer is working hard to help everyone that encounters an issue.

January 24, 2008 @ 16:57 PST by Millerlite

I fixed it myself no help from tgl. Way to be gay tgl 10/10!

January 24, 2008 @ 17:22 PST by Dune

January 24, 2008 @ 17:38 PST by DK

Again folks, this is not the tech support area, Dune. I found your support ticket... "Vista 64 bit .. cant load ?". There is a whole lot of info here. There is not much we can conclude from this. Could you have added a little more detail. A dxdiag report would be most helpful.

January 24, 2008 @ 20:18 PST by SurgicalKill

Well, After a long day I have to say that the majority of users did not experience any trouble. I have been working with people all day and most of the issues people were having are related to the USER not the software. However I do ask Users still experiencing problems read the whole FAQ, consistantly as we update it as new solutions are found. Furthormore x64 users still having problems please submit a DETAILED report so your data can be used to help solve your problem.

Its legal mumbo jumbo to protect my but, we dont even collect most of that info. its just saying if WE DO collect it, we may use it to better your experience. I am however glad to see people are reading the leagal docs.

Well...until you have your identity stolen once...and know what that's like...its a decision each gamer will have to make.
