The Total Gaming League is proud to announce a start date for the Burning Nations Frontlines: Fuel of War tournament! Round 1 matches will begin at 9:30 PM Eastern on Sunday, November 2nd. This will be a single elimination tournament, with one match played each week.

If you haven't played the game for awhile, you'll be happy to know that PunkBuster was implemented. Please see this thread to enable the console in FFOW, so you can get your proper PBGUID.

Prizing includes $10,000 in cash, three HP Blackbird 002 computers, and six NVIDIA 8800 GTX Video Cards. Please register as soon as possible, as registration ends on November 1st at 10:00 PM Eastern!

Any chance on getting some rule clarity here? I realize its still a month away, but on the other hand, its only a month away. DOn't want to get too used to playing/using certain aspects of the game if they are not going to be included.

Anyone know if there is a way to login into rcon through in game console? If this is possible, what does the command line look like?

I found a rcon tool (3rd party) but it doesnt seem to work all that well and ends up crashing after every command sent.

no the rcon tool is junk and made for the game before the patch this is why it does not work and is third party i3d.net had a place to download it. also the myinternetservices servers and many others are not up to date and bugged so they will not play correctly only found 3 companies that provide good workinf ffow servers. i3d.net but not us based and clanwarz.com but i highly recommend midnightgameing.net that is who we are with now after 50 support tickets with myinternet services and no results. midnight gameing.net support reacts in less then 2-5 minutes and will help you do anything you need asked for there servers. worth the extra .49 cents a slot. I am rather upset that myinternetservices.com is putting on this event but don't provide good servers just look at the ones in game and see how bugged they are. you'll fire blanks server freezes when capping a few points then all weapons will sound like one etc..gl and hf!

I'd like to see a removal of the Noobtube (Grenadelauncher) as it does not need any skill. Especially if you limit the amount of rocketlaunchers this should also be taken into consideration.

I agree with Shad! Plz reduce or stop the Noobtube in this Tournament! It would push the Tournament to a higher level of skill and its for the safety of the noobs, who are killing themself when they are shooting in the ground!

I also noticed that about 50% of the enlisted teams are inactive or never played FFoW... is there a chance we will have just active teams in the bracket?
Maybe have all teamleaders respond to an admin via pm and have their enlistment and activity confirmed.
I really don't want to have inactive teams or teams that actually never played FFoW (you all know who i mean) have receiving some hardware prices for doing nothing.

It would be nice to see the Grenade launcher be removed as I see almost anyone who is going to play use it exclusively and then switching over to gun to finish you off if they didn't quite kill you. It' a shame really.

I want to know how anyone should track the number of GL and AT used ingame, especially in the heat of the battle?
I hope you review this rule, because there is a huge potential for abusing it in a negative way for all participating teams.
In case I will loose i will just make a protest and accuse the other team .. you simply can't proof it, except someone is tracking the serverlog and an admin will have a look into it...just takes you hours to review )

There is one simple solution: BAN GL totally and allow as many ATs as the teams want.The Mappool is favoring inf only battles anyways, so no need for an Antivehicle Kit restriction..just makes no sense to all participating players I know.
And maybe think about downgrading role upgrades as well, I know some guys love these toys, but it is a huge loss of skillbased gameplay .. 50% is way enough - thank you.

To file a dispute, you need proof. You can't just file a dispute and tell the admins to go find the proof. Editing server logs = lifetime ban for the individual responsible and your team forfeiting. We will work with server providers as needed to confirm log editing.

You miss his point Jamison. There is no server variable to enforce the amount of Assault class you listed in the ruleset (2). So, what exactly happens when a team uses (accidentally/intentionally) a third assault class? Is the round over? Also, there is no warm-up time in the server config so whoever loads the fastest gets to play the earliest.

My suggestions would be allow as many ATs as a team wants to use, in inf battles this kit will lose against a goog assault anyway. Then you could allow also as many assaults as a team wants to use and forbid the GL at all. If a team uses the GL you can proof this by uploading screens of GL kills and the problem is solved. In my opinion this is the best way to have fluent gameplay and less conflicts.
Please think about this as the current ruleset is far away from being optimal.

As explained in the rules, we're based in North America and must cater to our primary geographical area. We don't believe it's fair for US teams to sign-up for a US tournament, and than play at extremely early times on servers where they have 150-300 ping, just because they were unlucky enough to be paired with a foreign team.

I KNEW EXACTLY what I did and what times we would have to play when signing up...it will be something special waking up at 3 am, having some coffee and start the engines...and go to work with some toothsticks in my eyes right afterwards..hehe

ive tried for about a week to patch the game and get it running, different error every time. 1.2 patch wont even open. extremly buggy, wont be able to compete along with many who couldnt get the game to patch. gl with the tourney
